Puppet Master: Eowyn
Character Name: Tanarys Intellem
Character Age: 20
Gender: Female
Rank: Noble
Hair: Tanirys' hair is the rich, dark, distinctive Intellem red-brown,
and very fine and thick. When loose, it hangs about her shoulders and back with
the glossy, shining quality of highly polished dark wood.
Build: Like most of her family, Tanrys has rich, medium-dark skin. She
is very careful to maintain its healthy glow, and the remarkable evenness of
its
tone. Her limbs are long, and graceful, her body a pleasing not-quite-plump hourglass
shape.
Unless you are watching very carefully, you barely even notice that she limps
on her left leg.
Face: There is a very good reason Tanarys' kin call her, "Our Intellem
Flower,"- she is a truly lovely young woman. Her broad, gentle features,
high forehead, definite cheekbones and full lips produce a sort of tranquil,
regal
beauty which will indubitably last her 'till the day of her death.
Dress: Once upon a time, the Intellem patriarch told Tanarys that she
looked
Personality: Tanarys is an ambitious, scheming woman with a vicious and
vital lust to govern the Intellem family. Even when Vaeresh was the Intellem
golden boy, their Flower had plans to gain their grandfather's approval for her
(hoped for) husband, rather than her day-dreamer cousin. While she has an extremely
long fuse, Tanarys' anger, when finally stirred, is
a terrible thing. She will turn the full force of her charm, her wits, her family
connections,
and her money on filling your life with a slow, creeping, ever increasing misery.
In her own mind, she does not believe that she holds grudges. The very instant
she
receives a 'sincere' (ie 'groveling') apology from you, she turns off all her
enimity. She has even been known to help her victims rebuild their shattered
lives,
once again her closest friends. She is not ashamed of using her femininity to
cloak her intelligence, nor of letting her cloak of civility drop in order to
surprise, ambush, and imbalance overbearing men.
She also has a vivid interest in animals, which, as a young girl, cost her
the physical perfection which she'd already come to cherish. She broke her
leg doing something foolish involving horses (she refuses to admit what this
foolish thing was, as it is embarrassingly obvious one ought not to do it)
and has spent much time since teaching herself to, "be right," (stand
straight and walk without a limp). Talents: Tanarys is a clear-thinking, determined, ambitious young woman.
She is not nearly as intelligent as her disgraced cousin, but her charisma
and practicality have always given her a sharp advantage over him. She is an
expert manipulator, with a keen mind or political and economic intrigue. She
has also made an extensive study of the methods, etc. of breeding which are
her family's main business.
History: Like Vaeresh and a small handful of the most promising of the
large Intellem brood, Tanarys spent much of her childhood in schools in the capital,
away
from her elders and their sprawling desert estates. She took this opportunity
to grow a spine and a set of...guts... that most Intellem females never bother
with, being well and thoroughly pampered and brought up in a very traditional
household. Since she was little more than fifteen, Tanarys has been combing the
ranks of Amaranthian nobility in search
of a, 'good husband'. Her basic criteria are that he capture her (exceedingly
eccentric)
grandfather's interest, and that he either be willing to allow or incapable of
preventing her thorough control over his (and, hopefully, the entire Intellem
family's) affairs.
Eyes: The elaborate arrangements of bangs which Tanarys seems so fond
of frame delicate, almond-shaped, remarkably pale brown eyes that sparkle with
personality. She has a tendency to keep them half-lidded for a coy, sleepy,
appealing expression.
lovely in yellow, and the child took it to heart. To this day is her very
favorite colour. She wears tasteful, elegant, exceedingly high-quality dresses
that are designed so that they show her off, and not vice versa.
She adores jewelry, preferring simple pieces chosen for quality, not elaborate
design
