Your characters can believe in magic, they can believe in spells and curses and gods and goddesses and mermaids and were-beings, but they do not exist. Character's can be as superstitious as you want, but no actual magic will occur in the role-playing. This is not to be mean, or to limit creativity. The real reason that I decided to ban magic from Amaranth was that magic is very hard to control. If I were add magic into Amaranth there would have to be too many rules on how it could be used and where and what effects it would have. Having to work around so many rules would, in my opinion, take a lot of the fun out of Amaranth. So that’s why we don't have it.
